Microsoft no longer wants you to use Internet Explorer

It's no secret that Microsoft isn't the biggest fan of the old Internet Explorer browser but since they introduced Microsoft Edge years ago they have been saying that they would not be supporting Internet Explorer.

MICROSOFT'S SECURITY BOSS has told punters that its venerable browser, Internet Explorer, isn't actually a browser in a bout of Magrittian surrealism.

In a blog post, Microsoft senior cybersecurity architect Chris Jackson said continuing to use Internet Explorer is racking up companies a ton of "technical debt".

Unfortunately, Internet Explorer isn't equipped to handle the modern web.

This is understandable considering most of the working people have spent their life working on Internet Explorer and not on Edge or Google Chrome, and have built internal application which rely on its foibles. The browser does not support new web standards, and Internet Explorer isn't tested.

Internet Explorer was one of the most widely used web browsers, attaining a peak of about 95 percent during 2002 and 2003.

The company, which first developed Internet Explorer in 1995, is no longer supporting new development for the web browser. He admitted that Microsoft had stopped new web standards for Microsoft Edge and a good number of developers aren't now testing for Internet Explorer. "More effort on the part of IT teams was required to get to standards mode, which made "getting modern" an opt-in choice".

In his post, Jackson explains how Microsoft customers still ask him Internet Explorer related questions for their business. Rather than spending resources to make them compatible with the new-age browsers, they continue to use them because they were created to be used with it. Consequently, if we continued our previous method, you would end up in a scenario where, by making the best or most effective use of the things you have, you will end up like that you are not capable to use new apps as they come out.
