Sen. Coons: Trump's 'Closeness' to Putin Is 'Alarming'

"That comes back to the question, again, of why the president wanted to do this?" she asked.

On this weekend's broadcast of "Fox News Sunday", Sen.

"Cohen, who will testify in Congress on February 7, insists that he has never been to Prague, but added in a tweet: "#Mueller knows everything!"

Trump responded to the report Saturday during a telephone interview broadcast on Fox News Channel after host Jeanine Pirro asked whether he is now or has ever worked for Russian Federation.

Things are obviously heating up in the New Year when it comes to the Mueller investigation and U.S. - Russian Federation relations in general. "These people make it up", Trump said. "Unlike President Obama, who let Russian Federation and other foreign adversaries push America around, President Trump has actually been tough on Russian Federation", according to CNN.

The report about Trump's meetings with Putin follows a Friday report from The New York Times that the F.B.I. opened an investigation into whether or not Trump was acting on Russia's behalf after Trump fired former F.B.I. director James Comey in 2017.

"I think it's the most insulting thing I have ever been asked", Mr. Trump told Pirro by phone, without explicitly denying the charge.

The FBI did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Greece, Germany put past tension behind them as Merkel visits
A Greek Commission of experts had estimated the extent of the war damage to at least 289 billion euros. "It is a matter of the heart to support Greece for the benefit of both nations", Merkel said.

These include his former national security advisor Michael Flynn; former Trump campaign chief Paul Manafort; and Trump's former personal lawyer Michael Cohen.

The reports come as Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation looms large in the background, punctuated by guilty pleas, convictions and indictments of former Trump associates.

On one occasion, Trump even went so far as to confiscate his interpreter's notes to prevent others from knowing what was discussed.

The Post reported that Trump has gone to "extraordinary lengths" to hide direct conversations he has had with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

President Trump has denied keeping details of his meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin from his own administration. He also accused the Post of fabricating the report.

A separate source said Baker told investigators the internal FBI debate over the president's decision to fire Comey on May 9, 2017, included personnel who have since left the bureau for cause, retired, or have been demoted. And Trump's efforts to keep meetings with Putin under wraps only exacerbate this threat.

Adam Schiff, the head of the House Intelligence Committee, tweeted that Democrats on the committee had sought previous year to obtain interpreters' notes or testimony about Trump's private meeting with Putin in Helsinki, but Republicans voted them down. He also said Barr must allow Mueller to release a copy of his final report to the public.

When asked about the FBI's counterintelligence investigation of Trump as a potential threat to national security, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told CBS News in a taped interview that "the notion that President Trump is a threat to American national security is absolutely ludicrous".
