Milwaukee Bucks trading Matthew Dellavedova back to Cleveland Cavaliers

  • Milwaukee Bucks' Matthew Dellavedova middle is fouled between Detroit Pistons' Langston Galloway and Bruce Brown

The Cavaliers have re-acquired Matthew Dellavedova and big man John Henson from the Bucks, along with a future first- and second-round draft pick in exchange for veteran point guard George Hill. Smith, 32, who is in the final year of his contract, has played in just 12 games this season, averaging 3.7 points and shooting 40 percent from 3-point range.

Milwaukee acquired George Hill from the Cavaliers while also saving cap space.

For the Cavaliers, the main attraction is not only to bring back a member of their championship squad, but the multiple future picks headed to Cleveland as a part of the deal. He is averaging 6.3 points and 3.7 rebounds per game.

Milwaukee now has the second-best record in the Eastern Conference, trailing the Toronto Raptors by 3.5 games, and managed to save around $18 million in cap space for next season by moving two hefty contracts in the deal.

Hill was traded to Cleveland from the Utah Jazz at last year's trade deadline.

Dellavedova spent three seasons in Cleveland as a running mate of LeBron James, before signing a lucrative four-year US$38 million contract with the Bucks in 2016.

A man has died after coughing up part of his lung, according to a report in the New England Journal of Medicine . Wieselthaler called the occurrence "very, very, very rare".

The Bucks should get solid play out of Hill when he's in the game, and with them already having Eric Bledsoe and Malcolm Brogdon as point guards, Hill shouldn't have much burden, unless Milwaukee is swinging for the fences and decides to trade one of those aforementioned two.

"I'm glad my Aussie brother is back", Cavs center Tristan Thompson said following a 129-110 loss to Sacramento.

The Cleveland Cavaliers continue to be proactive in their rebuild.

Dekker, who starred at Wisconsin before becoming the No. 18 overall pick in 2015, has been out for more than a month with an ankle injury.

However, the teams have not yet confirmed this trade. "We wish Jason the best moving forward and appreciate the value he brought to our team as a great teammate and true professional".
