The second tunnel started in the Lebanese village of Ramyeh and crossed into Israel near Zarit.

The announcement follows an Israelioperation, dubbed Northern Shield, to destroy what it said were tunnels dug by Hezbollah that reached its territory.

The goal of Hezbollah was to isolate Metula by severing Route 90, the highway that links Israel's northernmost town with the rest of the country. Israel and Hezbollah fought a 34-day war in 2006 that killed about 1,200 Lebanese and 165 Israelis.

"The regular Tripartite meeting" had been scheduled before the IDF launched its operation at its northern border overnight on Monday, said the statement.

"Today we have launched Operation Northern Shield".

So far, the IDF has said it has found two cross-border tunnels, believed by Israel to be part of a Hezbollah plan to conquer parts of the Galilee territory in the country's north, one of which has been confirmed to exist by the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).

According to the unnamed diplomatic source, Russian and Israeli efforts inside Syria have seriously impacted Hezbollah's missile program, with the terror group only managing to convert a "few dozen" ordinary missiles into precision-guided ones.

"I told the ambassadors that they need to unequivocally condemn this aggression against us by Iran, by Hezbollah and by Hamas, and of course, to also strengthen the sanctions against these elements", Netanyahu said. "We assume that it will take quite a lot of time to expose and destroy all of the tunnels, and we will continue to do so until all of the tunnels have been destroyed", he concluded. "It's now clear that Iran used its windfall from the Obama Iran nuclear deal to arm Hezbollah for an all-out war against Israel, and that the United States must do more to undo the damage of that deal. Sen".

The Trump administration disclosed that Iran is behind the construction of several underground tunnels leading into Israel that Hezbollah militants and other terror forces have been using to conduct attacks, according to multiple US officials who spoke to the Washington Free Beacon and communicated fears that Tehran is preparing to lead a "massive regional war".

"We caught Hezbollah unprepared for this event", said the officer, "[Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan] Nasrallah is very embarrassed.

On the recent Israel's movement, Ali Rammal, mayor of Adaisseh village in southern Lebanon said: "The situation of the settlements and border areas is quite natural despite the operation of the Israeli army on the other side of the border".

Hezbollah receives the majority of its funding from Iran, supplementing Iranian aid with a vast global criminal network that traffics in illegal narcotics and money laundering.
