Bain & Co. topped the list, while Facebook fell to the seventh rank.

Glassdoor calculates its ranking each year for the top United States large employers by considering any company with at least 1,000 employees and at least 75 approved reviews, left voluntarily on Glassdoor's site, that were received over the year.

Facebook's employees have also spoken out about workplace issues.

Other tech giants in the top 50 include Google at #8, Salesforce in 11 place, Adobe at #30, Microsoft in the 34 position, Nvidia at 36, Blizzard Entertainment at 42 and SpaceX at 48. Google also fell in the ranks compared to past year, although it only dropped three spots compared to Facebook's six, now coming in at number eight. One review cited the company's support of employee goals as a perk of employment.

Management consulting firm Bain & Company reclaimed the top spot after taking No. 1 two years ago.

Only a month before the Cambridge Analytica scandal surfaced, Facebook's head of HR, Janelle Gale, shared the secrets of its success in Glassdoor's ranking, highlighting that employees are told from day one that they should own and contribute to company culture.

Recall Issued for Infant Ibuprofen Sold at Walmart, CVS Amid Dosage Concerns
Babies may also experience nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, tinnitus, headaches and other gastrointestinal problems. The store brands of the drug sold at Walmart, CVS pharmacy, and Family Dollar are all impacted by the recall.

Anglian Water came in at number 1 for the first time with a rating of 4.5.

Facebook spokeswoman Genevieve Grdina pointed to another statistic from the company's biannual "pulse" survey on "overall favorability" about working there, saying it's now at 70 percent, a drop of 2 percentage points since April. Rounding out the top five were Zoom Video Communication, In-N-Out Burger, Procore Technologies and Boston Consulting Group. Workers' concerns - and protests - over how the military could use Google's technology contributed to executives' decision to pull a bid for a $10 billion cloud contract with the Pentagon.

Glassdoor bases its ranking on a number of factors, but if you just look at Facebook's employee satisfaction, the decline is more significant, per CNBC.

The career website rated employers based on feedback from employees. As expected, there are conflicting reviews about all large companies.

"In today's tight labour market, job seekers are in the driver's seat when it comes to deciding where to work and they want to know the inner workings of a company before accepting a new job", said Dr. Andrew Chamberlain, Glassdoor Chief Economist.

Reviews had come from current and former employees between 23 October, 2017 and 21 October, 2018.
