So don't forget to double-check your messages-and keep your thumb as far away from the "send" button as possible-before sending something you might regret. Back then, Facebook claimed that users will be allowed to unsend messages with no time limits, so the new 10-minute time window is quite the contradiction.

Currently, while Facebook users can delete messages that they sent from their own inbox, the recipient of the message can still see them.

Whether it's reaching out to an ex in a moment of weakness or making a poor emoji choice, many of us have hit "send" on a message only to regret it seconds later.

Mark Zuckerberg was caught out earlier this when it was found he, and other high-level Facebook execs, had the ability to erase messages they had sent to other people's inboxes. Users will have a 10-minute window to delete messages from a thread after tapping the "send" button.

Sao Paulo Motor Show: Volkswagen Tarok Concept revealed
The suck-squeeze-bang-blow is sent to all four wheels by a six-speed automatic transmission with a torque converter. If we are to ask Volkswagen, the Tarok pickup slots somewhere in between an urban SUV and an authentic off-roader.

The note mentions the option to remove a message from a chat thread after being sent.

Facebook didn't announce the feature yet, but The Verge spotted it in the "coming soon" section of the release notes from Messenger for iPhone version 191.0.

The feature was first discovered and tweeted about by an engineer named Jane Manchun Wong in October while it was being tested.
