NBC Removing Trump Ad Amid Criticism For Running During Primetime

Facebook on Monday said it's removing a controversial anti-immigration ad by President Donald Trump's reelection campaign for violating its rules against "sensational content".

Trump was asked Monday whether he thought the ad was offensive.

The 30-second spot focused on Luis Bracamontes, an undocumented Mexican immigrant who was convicted and sentenced to death in 2014 for murdering two sheriff's deputies in Sacramento, Calif.

"After further review we recognise the insensitive nature of the ad and have chose to cease airing it across our properties as soon as possible", an NBC spokesperson said.

The 30-second ad focuses on the controversial so-called migrant caravan of asylum-seekers making their way to the US border.

CNN called out the ad as blatantly "racist" in replying to critical tweets from Donald Trump Jr., the president's eldest son, who charged that the network would "only run fake news and won't talk about real threats".

CNN, however, turned the ad down from the beginning, calling it racist and refusing to sell airtime for it.

Klopp Considering Dropping Shaqiri From Belgrade Visit
Montague also understands that Shaqiri *did* want to play in this fixture but has now been denied the opportunity to do so. That's why we decided what we decided. "So Liverpool omit Shaqiri from the trip to Belgrade tomorrow", he tweeted.

Unsurprisingly, Trump's reelection campaign manager, Brad Parscale, was none too pleased. He made no mention of Fox News's decision.

The ad was part of Team Trump's campaign to demonize immigrants as the pivotal midterms approach to fire up the president's "America First", nativist base.

NBC will no longer be playing the ad during "Sunday Night Football", the network has announced.

Bracamontes last entered the country in the early 2000s, when George W. Bush was president, according to the Washington Post.

Mr Parscale said the media was trying to control what Americans see and think.

In a tweet on Saturday, CNN's communications team revealed that the network had refused to run the ad due to its bigoted message. "While the video is allowed to be posted on Facebook, it can not receive paid distribution", a Facebook spokesperson said in a statement.

"So @nbc and @Comcast aired that racist Trump caravan commercial during the football game".
