Apple shows record-breaking results for Q4 of the fiscal 2018

  • Apple won’t disclose how many devices it sold starting next year

Apple bundles everything else into the "Other Products" category and only gives a total figure of $4.2 billion in revenue that came from AirPods, Apple Watch, Apple TV and everything else you can find in an Apple Store. The iPhone still looms large over Apple's fortunes, accounting for more than 60 percent of revenues. Worldwide sales accounted for 61% of the quarters' revenue.

Apple's flagship smartphone proved an interesting - and quite expected - metric: while units sold were practically flat - 46.9 million versus 46.7 million in the same period last year - revenue was significantly higher at $37.2 billion against $29.9 billion, thanks to the higher pricing that began with last year's decade-marking iPhone X.

Services continued its rise.

Apple's Services business reported a 17 percent increase in revenue to $9.98 billion. Apple launched new MacBook Pros in July.

Also, Apple announced that the company, going forward will not announce fully break down of individual shipments of iPhones, Macs and iPads and instead wrap them in a single report similar to what it does with service revenue results report, which includes Apple Music, App Store, after-sale product repairs and other facilities. This is the summary of Apple's quarterly result for the fourth quarter.

As well as the "weak" guidance for Q1 2019, investors heard the news that Apple would no longer be reporting unit sales as above. It managed to recover, though: as at 6:50am in NY, it was at $1.073 trillion.

The first film will explore the story of where Rick is taken and what he faces in a new corner of the zombie apocalypse. The British star said it was not an easy decision to leave the show but he did it to spend more time with his children.

Apple has announced that, as of next quarter, it will no longer report unit sales figures for iPhones, iPads and Macs. Even though Apple publicly accepted and rolled out a fix, the Cupertino giant had to face lots of lawsuits.

Mike Levin, co-founder of Consumer Intelligence Research Partners LLC, a market-research firm that surveys Apple customers, said the change shows Apple executives are thinking about their business in ways they haven't wanted to say aloud.

"We concluded a record year with our best September quarter ever, growing double-digits in every geographic segment", chief financial officer Luca Maestri said.

"We set September quarter revenue records for iPhone and Wearables and all-time quarterly records for Services and Mac", Maestri added.

Shares are trading slightly above our unchanged fair value estimate of $200 per share, and we recommend a wider margin of safety before committing capital to narrow-moat Apple.
