Kavanaugh Accuser Admits She Fabricated Allegations as a ‘Ploy’ for ‘Attention’

  • Kavanaugh won't make traditional walk down court steps due to security concerns

President Donald Trump on Saturday launched an attack on all of the women who came forward with allegations of sexual misconduct and substance abuse against Justice Brett Kavanaugh. She also told investigators the whole thing was a tactic and a ploy to oppose Kavanaugh's nomination.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) sent a letter on Friday referring Judy Munro-Leighton to an FBI investigation on the terms of making "materially false statements" and "obstruction". "The letter contained highly graphic sexual-assault accusations against Judge Kavanaugh".

Kavanaugh was questioned by the committee after an anonymous letter signed "Jane Doe" alleged he and a friend raped an Oceanside, California, woman in a auto. "It is illegal to make materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement".

"As part of that process, the Committee has investigated various allegations made against Judge Kavanaugh".

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley referred Judy Munro-Leighton to authorities after his office said she alleged that Kavanaugh and a friend raped her in the backseat of a vehicle - only for that story to fall apart.

"Regardless, Committee staff quickly began investigating the claims as part of the broader investigation, hindered by the limited information provided".

The woman, Judy Munro-Leighton, admitted that she wanted to hurt Kavanaugh's policital career.

JR Smith requests trade from Cavaliers
He is a career 37.3 percent 3-point shooter and ranks 12th in National Basketball Association history with 1,917 3-pointers made. Smith was told by the front office that playing time might be meager entering the season, a statement that has rung true.

Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh testifies before the Senate Judiciary Committee during the third day of his confirmation hearing to serve as Associate Justice on the U.S. Supreme Court at the Capitol in Washington on September 6, 2018.

Kavanaugh unequivocally denied all such claims and called them "ridiculous". "I am not Jane Doe".

When they finally spoke with her Thursday, she claimed she wasn't Jane Doe - but had heard about the letter and claimed to be Jane Doe so it would get more attention. Given her relatively unique name, Committee investigators were able to use open-source research to locate Ms. Munro-Leighton and determine that she: (1) is a left-wing activist; (2) is decades older than Judge Kavanaugh; and (3) lives in neither the Washington DC area nor California, but in Kentucky.

In short, during the Committee's time-sensitive investigation of allegations against Judge Kavanaugh, Ms. Munro-Leighton submitted a fabricated allegation, which diverted Committee resources. I read the transcript of the call to your Committee ...

"I was angry, and I sent it out", Munro-Leighton said of her sexual assault allegation.

Mr. Grassley has previously asked the Federal Bureau of Investigation to probe Julie Swetnick and her lawyer, anti-Trump crusader Michael Avenatti, for lying to Congress and obstructing.
