Opener Rohit Sharma smashed 162 as India took a 2-1 lead in their ODI series against the Windies with a crushing 224-run victory in Mumbai.

The victory is India's third biggest by margin of runs against any side. Nurse played a crucial hand of 22-ball-40 in the 3rd game and backed it with a match-winning spell of 2-43 (10) which included wickets of Shikhar Dhawan (35) and MS Dhoni (7) to hand a much-needed a series-leveling win to the Windies.

Rohit Sharma (162) and Ambati Rayudu (100) struck belligerent centuries to guide India to an imposing 377 for five after the hosts opted to bat.

The top order imploded with two needless run-outs but the rest of the innings was wrecked by left-arm seamer Khaleel Ahmed who ripped out the middle order with three for 13 and left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who polished off the tail with three for 42.

Hemraj (14) drove pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar tamely to Rayudu at cover in the fifth over with 20 runs on the board and disaster followed when leading run-scorer Shai Hope (0) and opener Kieran Powell (4) were both run out in the space of five deliveries with no runs added.

Captain Jason Holder made unbeaten 54, the only real resistance provided by any of the visitors' batsman as they were skittled out for 153 in just 36.2 overs.

Rohit Sharma was declared Man of the Match.

Having scored 140, 157 not out and 107 in the last three matches, Kohli was seeking a record-equalling fourth successive century but Roach dismissed him for 16.

The Hyderabad based right-hander continued milking the tourists and in the company of an off-colour Mahendra Singh Dhoni (23), reached his third ODI century off 80 deliveries before eventually being run out.
