Julia Louis-Dreyfus claims that humour helped her beat cancer

On his fourth show from Brooklyn, Jimmy Kimmel on Thursday night welcomed multiple Emmy victor Julia Louis-Dreyfus, in a triumphant appearance following her successful treatment for breast cancer.

Louis-Dreyfus has since returned back to Veep and is now filming the last season. Julia Louis-Dreyfus- the award-winning actress has refused to quit from filming the final season.

The 57-year-old Emmy victor of "Veep" announced she was diagnosed with breast cancer a year ago. "I feel very strong". Louis-Dreyfus was cast at just 21, and though she's called her time on SNL "miserable", her career only went up after she left the show in 1985.

During her tough journey, the 57-year old gave updates of her experience on social media.

After Julia had her final chemotherapy session in January, she shared a video her sons Henry, 26, and 21-year-old Charlie - who she has with husband Brad Hall - had recorded to support her, featuring them lip syncing to Michael Jackson's "Beat It" and the actress thought it was the ideal tribute. It's really kind of lightening in a bottle as they say, so I'm relishing every blessed second'.

And on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday, she confirmed that she's beaten the disease.

In the summer of 2018, Louis-Dreyfus began shooting the seventh and final season of "Veep."
