  • 'It's Dangerous': Conway Rips Hillary Clinton for Saying Dems Can't Be 'Civil' With GOP

Clinton compared the handling of Kavanaugh's confirmation to "Republican operatives shutting down the voting in 2000", the "swift-boating of John Kerry", attacks on former Arizona Sen.

Hillary Clinton said Tuesday that President Donald Trump staged a "political rally" at Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh's ceremonial swearing-in that "further undermined the image and integrity of the court".

Clinton listed a litany of offenses that she believes the GOP has committed which make civility hard. But it's always been obvious, and confirmed by the US intelligence community, that the Russian government had a clear preference for Trump over Clinton and acted to diminish her chances of prevailing in the election.

Trump responded Clinton's comments at the White House on Tuesday morning. Brennan himself called it "part of a broader effort by Mr. Trump to suppress freedom of speech and punish critics".

Her former chief of staff, Cheryl Mills, had her clearance revoked as well as four aides whose names were redacted in the letter.

Trump says Fed 'out of control' but won't fire Powell
Yet other factors, which might have more direct implications for USA monetary policy, were also said to have played a part. An increase in interest rates makes debt more expensive, while a corresponding decrease can make it cheaper.

But Clinton was not on the list. They had been granted "researcher" status and security clearances through a request made by Secretary Clinton.

Clinton and former chief of staff Cheryl Mills lost their clearances, as did four other Clinton staffers whose names were redacted, according to a letter dated September 21 to the leadership of the Senate Judiciary Committee that was published Friday by Republican Sen.

Hillary Clinton's security clearance was revoked on August 30, 2018, at her own request.

The New York Times first reported Clinton's use of the private server, which was located in the New York mansion she shares with former President Bill Clinton, in a March 3, 2015 news story.

"But given that the administration has already done this with John Brennan, the former Central Intelligence Agency director, who really bashes the president at every opportunity these days", York continued, "I think people are gonna want to look at this and say what exactly what went on behind this withdrawal, the clearance". Grassley's office made the letter public October 12 following consultation with the State Department, his office said in a statement.
