Kevin Tway won the Safeway Open in California

Fred Couples had a 75 to tie for 41st at 5 under in his final start in a regular PGA Tour event.

"I'm sure he's crying because he's pretty proud of me", said the younger Tway, whose only other pro victory came in the 2013 Albertsons Boise Open on the Web.com Tour.

"I played well on the front nine, but lost it on the back", said Snedeker, who was seeking his 10th PGA Tour victory. But Tway and Ryan Moore hung around, and when Moore birdied 18 and Tway the 17th and 18th, the three went to extra holes to decide the matter. I talk with dad every night. I was just trying to get it up around the greens and make pars and wait until I could get some downwind holes.

Snedeker had looked set to claim the opening event of the 2018-19 PGA Tour season until he made three successive bogeys from the 10th hole.

Tway fired a one-under 71 in the final round to join Moore (67) and Snedeker (74) in a play-off after the trio finished at 14 under. The five-time major victor, who had been pleasantly surprised by his first two rounds after a tough 0-2 performance at the Ryder Cup in France last week, finished with three bogeys and three birdies, picking up a stroke at the 16th but unable to take advantage of the more favorable wind at 17 and 18.

It is thought that by 2100, global sea rise levels would be 10cm lower that if global warming were to be at 2C. A target was in place for the world to stop the global temperature rising more than 1.5C.

Im began the final round four strokes off the pace and stumbled out of the gate on Sunday with bogeys on the first two holes.

Conversely, Moore played himself into contention with a round of 67 having started the day seven shots off the lead.

Moore matched Tway's birdies at the first and second playoff holes, before succumbing at the third - the par-four 10th.

"When I got done with my round there were plenty of guys with plenty of holes left". "It sucks right now".
