Gronk threatened to retire if Pats traded him to Lions

  • New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady leads the team out prior to the game between the New England Patriots and the Jacksonville Jaguars

The New England Patriots very almost traded tight end Rob Gronkowski to the Detroit Lions last offseason, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Gronkowski led the Patriots with 1,084 yards and eight touchdowns past year across 14 games.

"Yeah. It happened", Gronkowski said.

This hamstring nonsense could certainly be a cover for Gordon's inability to learn the Pats' complex playbook in just one week, but it's also very likely New England simply doesn't want to play its hand, especially in such a noncompetitive game, following a loss.

During the outage, RBS Group said customers could still use telephone banking, and access to high street ATMs was unaffected. The migration was undertaken to give the bank the necessary core banking platform to be able to offer digital services.

Darius Slay picked off Brady's pass at the Detroit 15 midway through the fourth quarter, helping the Lions seal the win. The tight end believed he should get a new deal from New England, but the Patriots did not sound inclined to pony up a bunch of additional guaranteed money for a guy with his injury history.

"I think they clearly outplayed us and out-coached us today", Belichick said. "People shouldn't be able to do that". That prompted the Patriots to sit down with him and give him a refashioned contract that adds $4.3 million incentives for the 2018 season.

Through three games, the Brady-Gronkowski connection has seen No. 87 total 13 catches for 189 yards and a touchdown.
