  • Harvey Weinstein Accuser Releases Video of Creepy Business Meeting Before Alleged Rape

A new video shows Harvey Weinstein inappropriately touching and making sexually suggestive comments to a woman during a business meeting. She said the incident happened while she was meeting with the disgraced filmmaker in his office at the Weinstein Company to pitch a video technology offered by her start-up company.

Thompson alleges that Weinstein raped her hours later at a nearby hotel.

A video of Harvey Weinstein aired on television Wednesday showing him boldly propositioning a woman who later accused him of rape and repeatedly touching her and stroking her arm and back during what was supposed to have been a business meeting.

Thompson told Sky News that she was expecting to meet with The Weinstein Company's marketing team.

Melissa Thompson provided the video to Sky News, and walked the network through the encounter. "Brafman says, ". the video, when viewed in its entirety, in context and not in select excerpts, demonstrates that there is nothing forceful, but casual - if not awkward - flirting from both parties".

Weinstein was charged in Manhattan criminal court earlier this year with the rape and sexual abuse of two separate women in 2013 and 2004.

Prosecutors argue they do not have the responsibility to turn over the emails because Weinstein could have given testimony about the alleged relationship himself, which he did not do. "It's okay, would you like to do it some more?" he can be heard saying.

Thompson appears visibly uncomfortable and begins to squirm, saying, "A little bit - a little high, that's a little high, that's a little high". Also in June, the website the Blast published a still image, pulled from a recording, of a meeting between Thompson and Weinstein in which the producer was said to have groped her. She ended up in Weinstein's hotel room, where Weinstein raped her despite her attempts to get away, Thompson alleged.

Henry Cavill Out as Superman in Future DC Movies
He's just coming off an electric performance in the summertime smash hit, Mission: Impossible - Fallout. It's fitting, then, that Cavill's exit also seems to tie into a creative shift for the overall series.

"If I would try to fight myself away from him, he would then move around to a place where he could block me in", Thompson said.

In the footage, Weinstein invites Thompson to join him at the Tribeca Grand Hotel lobby restaurant.

"We believe that the People's response in its entirety makes it absolutely clear that the case against Mr. Weinstein can not be successfully prosecuted", said Brafman in a statement to Deadline. I constantly felt trapped, no matter where I turned. In an interview with Sky, she said he would go from "almost pulling a trigger on using" her service, and then he would put his hand under the table and up her dress.

Thompson also rejected critics who said she encouraged Weinstein's behavior.

Once in the room, he raped her. "It was an invitation to come to a hotel lobby that was within blocks of the office and so that to me felt much safer than being alone with him in his office", she said.

Claiming that the video tried to malign Weinstein for financial gain, Barfman said facts mattered.

"I never met anyone that I couldn't handle until Harvey Weinstein", she added.

The meeting goes on like that from there.
