Woodward book goes on sale as ex-Trump aides push back

  • In a series of leaks to the press President Trump has been portrayed by his staff as reckless and erratic

A new best-selling book about U.S. President Donald Trump, his decision-making and his administration went on sale to the public Tuesday.

Woodward, who has covered every administration since his groundbreaking coverage of President Richard Nixon and the Watergate scandal, said yes.

Woodward has written books about seven prior administrations and gained journalistic fame almost five decades ago as one of the Washington Post reporters whose investigative stories about White House corruption helped drive President Richard Nixon from office.

The president is displeased with White House Deputy Chief of Staff Bill Shine in particular because Trump thinks he wasn't able to push back the claims made in the expose. "We're losing big in Afghanistan".

"Sources are not anonymous to me, I know exactly who they are", Woodward said on the podcast. "The Woodward book is a Joke - just another assault against me, in a barrage of assaults, using now disproven unnamed and anonymous sources", he declared in one of a string of derisive tweets Monday. He added: "I would have been happy to correct them if Mr".

Simon & Schuster, the publishing company behind Bob Woodard's upcoming book, is reportedly printing one million copies of the White House tell-all to keep up with the "extraordinary demand".

Sanders said it's up to the Justice Department to make that determination.

Spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders has said that no lie detectors are being used to smoke out the writer of the op-ed, though she insisted the West Wing would like to see an investigation.

In the third quarter, Mariota took a hit on his right hand after being knocked down by Dolphins defensive lineman William Hayes. Linebacker Kiko Alonso also snagged one away from Tennessee that set up the Dolphins offense with excellent field position.

Woodward's latest work, Fear: Trump in the White House, paints a portrait of Trump as uninformed and mercurial.

As part Trump's efforts to discredit Woodward on Monday, he wrote another tweet in which he quoted Washington Examiner reporter Katelyn Caralle as saying, "You can not take this book too seriously".

As Staff Secretary, I was responsible for managing the flow of documents to and from the Oval Office and ensuring that anything the President was asked to sign had been properly vetted. "I think it's probably six to a dozen people". "There's too much evidence, too many witnesses".

Woodward says that Defense Secretary James Mattis objected to the tweets, but Bannon told him to "take one for the team".

Still, Woodward's book has fed talk that Trump could seek to replace Kelly and Mattis. US President further said that if he had spoken like that then he wouldn't had become the US President.

Gary Cohn, the ex-chief adviser on the President's economic council, issued a brief statement contending that Woodward's tell-all tome doesn't "accurately portray" his "experience at the White House".

"White House staffers, she said, aren't focused on "(dealing) with cowards that refuse to put their names in an anonymous letter".

"These are political statements to protect their jobs", Woodward said.
