The Samsung Galaxy Watch is here, officially announced along with the new Note 9 smartphone at Galaxy Unpacked 2018, and judging from my brief hands-on time with the renamed Gear S4, the South Korean maker seems to have delivered a more stylish sequel to the Gear Sport that should also appeal to a broader audience.

Epic's Tim Sweeney announced at the Samsung Note 9 reveal event that the Android beta for the popular Battle Royale game is now live to all Galaxy users, and that it'll be coming to all Android devices later this week.

Just about everything you could possibly want to know about the Galaxy Note9 has already leaked out, but there's still the official launch event to look forward to later today in NY.

Geekbench 4 measures overall performance. Pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 9 will begin on August 10th, with the device slated to start shipping and become available at major retailers on August 24th.

Cam Newton, Kelvin Benjamin Have Awkward Exchange Before Panthers-Bills Preseason Game
That may not be the case anymore, as Newton didn't seem able to say what he wanted when approaching Benjamin in-person. Newton later waved off Benjamin in apparent frustration before the two parted ways for the remainder of warmups.

OnePlus 6 only costs $579.

Note 9 with Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display houses 4000mAh battery - 21 per cent bigger that Note 8 - that is paired with fast-charging technology compatible with both wired and wireless charging. But we learned a bit more about the Watch at this event. Samsung cleverly included inductive charging in the S Pen, so it'll fill up when docked in the phone. "We are pleased that Samsung has designed Gorilla Glass 'DX+' into their latest device". It looks similar to last year's 6.3-inch Note 8 but sports a revamped Bluetooth stylus - a long-time selling point of the Note series - as well as an upgraded camera that takes sharper photos than the S9 released earlier this year, Samsung said Thursday. But if that's you, and you've got the right Samsung phone or tablet, the wait ends today. Samsung says it's working with more than 30 carriers in more than 15 countries to bring LTE-enabled Galaxy Watches to users who want an untethered smartwatch.

In terms of network support and retailers, in the U.S. the LTE version of the Galaxy Watch, which is set to cost more than the base model, is being sold via AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, and the official Samsung online store. Apparently the S-Pen button is restricted to first party apps and select partners at launch, but more stuff is apparently on the way in the form of a public SDK for app developers. You can plug it into an external monitor and make it into a desktop computer (though, in my opinion, a really crappy one). The one you see in the image above is the 42mm one, as it also comes in a black 46mm variant for those that have massive wrists.

Another nice update is the addition of more memory with the new Note arriving with either 128 or 512GB of internal storage which is expandable to 1TB via a microSD card. From a hardware perspective, there is no better-equipped Android phone on the market right now.
