Other brands in the VW Group are likely to follow suit, along with many other rival manufacturers, who are attracted by the more advanced voice recognition technology built into systems like Alexa and the rival Apple system, Siri.

Launched in 2014 assistant Alexa Amazon has over 45,000 skills through a set of functions to Alexa Skills Kit (ASK), and the developers are constantly expanding the list, developing abilities and skills Alexa. The question is, how many are using Alexa to order items online?

According to tech news site "The Information", only a small fraction of smart speaker owners actually use them for shopping.

The report further suggests that the Answer Update skill can be activated with some simple steps. 90% of the users didn't try it again, whereas the other 18% used the gadget to track orders that were made on other devices and find new deals.

Fortnite now available on Android, Samsung exclusive until August 12
While the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 isn't as exciting as the Note 8 , it's still a very, very refined and capable flagship smartphone. As you can see it's pretty similar to the watch we first saw in a premature listing on Samsung's own website last month .

Voice enabled devices are very sophisticated, yet they're still a work in progress, constantly trying to improve their services and learning about the many layers that make up the basis of communication between humans.

One of the sources stated that it is simply the matter of finding a way out of boosting people to continue purchasing via Alexa through data analysis, after which they could flourish the market quickly.

Amazon Alexa will send the notification on the device where you have enabled the feature, a TechCrunch report said.

At its core, though, one of the things that keeps people going back to Amazon is the huge variety of products, whereas a smart speaker really only seems ideal for pushing specific products that people already know they want. (Thus, the inclination towards home products, for example, phone charger, a new T.V., or a kitchen knife) is more, as the exact selection of the item doesn't matter much. Unfortunately for Amazon, nobody really uses that feature.
