  • Wacken Germany. Wacken is a village in northern Germany with a population of 1,800 that has hosted the annual festival which attract

In a plot taken straight out of The Simpsons or Family Guy, two elderly men have been returned to the confines of their nursing home after escaping to attend German metal festival, Wacken Open Air.

Per a police statement released to German radio station Norddeutscher Rundfunk, the two elder metalheads "obviously liked the metal festival", but added that the care home quickly organised transport for them and brought them back to the care home - presumably with sore necks from all the headbanging.

Unsurprising enough, the men were reluctant to leave the four-day event so police had to escort them home with the help of a taxi and a patrol auto.

Police found the pensioners at 3am, in the crowd at Wacken Open Air music festival in Wacken, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.

The nursing home alerted police after the gentlemen were found to be missing from the center.

Zaha set to stay at Crystal Palace despite Chelsea rumours
Palace will not sell the Ivory Coast worldwide unless they are offered a huge sum to sell him for a second time in his career. As per Mirror , Wilfried Zaha is keen on departing Palace this window, and could put in an official transfer request soon.

A local officer, Merle Neufeld, said: "Both were disoriented and apathetic".

Approximately 75,000 people attend Wacken each year, growing since its beginnings in 1990.

Headliners this year included Judas Priest, Dimmu Borgir, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Gojira and Children of Bodom.

We can't help but wonder whether they're going to go for round two next year but one thing's for sure, if they need any help we're all over it.
