France, 56, was arrested at 7:30 p.m. Sunday evening by Sag Harbor Village police for aggravated driving while intoxicated and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree. France appeared to be operating his vehicle while intoxicated and officers found oxycodone pills after searching him, police said.

France, whose blood-alcohol level reportedly was twice the legal limit, spent the night and jail and was released Monday morning.

Additionally, it is reported that while he was being arrested, France dropped the names of some high-profile friends, including that of President Donald Trump.

The president's relationship with the company goes back some years, to a proposed Trump Motor Speedway in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
