  • Tim Walsh won't offer any excuses for his side's poor showing in San Francisco

Manu Samoa Sevens player, Gordon Langkilde, has been suspended following an alleged incident at the tunnel area after Samoa lost to Wales at the Sevens Rugby World Cup in San Francisco.

The victory means New Zealand have won all four titles up for grabs at the past two Sevens World Cups.

The New Zealand men's team also progressed in the tournament, despite poor discipline threatening to derail in their campaign.

After bouncing back from their quarter final defeat to England, USA hammered Scotland 28-0, but had no answer for Argentina in their clash for fifth place, with Los Pumas Sevens making easy work of the Eagles, scoring a massive 33-7 win and claiming fifth place.

New Zealand opened the scoring with a charging run from Joe Ravouvou but Fiji hit straight back with a converted try to take the lead just three minutes later. England closed the gap again with Ruaridh McConnochie palming off defenders to cross in the corner.

But New Zealand upped the tempo and finished off with two more tries from Akuila Rokolisoa and Traell Joass to secure New Zealand's third outright victory in the tournament.

They then beat the heavily favoured Olympic champions Fiji 22-17 earlier on Sunday.

Meanwhile, England shocked defending champions South Africa in a hammering 29-7 win.

England coach Simon Amor admitted however his side had been unable to reproduce their best form in the final.

England captain Tom Mitchell said defeat in the final was bittersweet.

"We came here expecting to be amongst it and really wanting to be World Champions - that is the stuff you dream about".

A three-try first half onslaught saw the Black Ferns go back to back in the women's rugby Sevens World Cup.

Baber says that the team is calm and focused ahead of their opener against Japan and they are ready for the challenge ahead of them.
