  • Janhvi Kapoor stays humble after Bollywood debut in Dhadek following mum Sridevi’s death

But, Janhvi Kapoor isn't written off for her performance. While the two enjoyed their popularity and waved at their fans, during an interaction with the media, Janhvi Kapoor said that she is aiming to be a good actor and not a star.

Dhadak, which marks the much-awaited Bollywood foray of Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter, registered a huge second day collection of Rs 11.04 crore.

Meanwhile, director of the film, Shashank Khaitan, who has delivered two blockbusters for Dharma Productions so far in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania that starred Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt, took home the biggest pay cheque - Rs 4 crore. However, from now on the box office performance will depend exclusively on the word-of-mouth. "But more than that, I feel the kind of overwhelming response that we are getting here is the biggest compliment for all of us".

Turkey condemns Israel for controversial "Jewish state" law
Arab citizens account for some 17.5 percent of Israel's more than 8 million population and have long complained of discrimination. But American Jewish organisations expressed their disapproval of the law.

The film saw a significant growth of 26.75% on Saturday and earned Rs 11.04 crore.

Dhadak opened with mixed reviews among critics unlike the original 2016 Marathi-language film Sairat, but the box-office collection of course tells a different story.

Director Shashank Khaitan was all praise for Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter, who he says, have done a "fantastic job".
