The Bucks extended a qualifying offer to Parker, making him a restricted free agent and giving themselves an opportunity to match any offer sheet he signs with a rival club. However, the Bucks are not expected to match, assuming it comes in at around $40 million over two years.

Separately, the Chicago Tribune wrote that Jabari Parker will likely be signing a short-term deal with the Bulls, though, at this point, it remains unsure how the team plans to sign him, given his current status as a restricted free agent.

Jabari Parker #12 of the Milwaukee Bucks celebrates after hitting a shot against the Boston Celtics during Game Four of Round One of the 2018 NBA Playoffs at the Bradley Center on April 22, 2018 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Parker, 23, has suffered two different ACL tears in his left knee during his career and, as a result, hasn't exactly been a ideal fit in Milwaukee during the first four years of his National Basketball Association career.

Due to the injury, as well as falling out of grace with interim coach Joe Prunty, Parker only played in 31 games for Milwaukee last season.

The team announced it released guard Julyan Stone and forward Paul Zipser. "We look forward to welcoming him back to his hometown". Parker has even added a decent three-point shot, shooting 37% from behind the arc. Parker has played his best ball at the power forward spot, which is now anchored by second-year pro and potential franchise star Lauri Markkanen.

During that season, the forward averaged 20 points, six rebounds and almost three assists in 50 games before suffering a knee injury.

The answer is no, but that still doesn't mean the deal is a bad one for the Bulls.

Parker's contract will take him through the end of the 2019-20 season.
