‘Brady Bunch’ House For Sale - But May Be Torn Down

  • The house at 11222 Dilling Street in Studio City California has an asking price of $1.85m

While the TV home's interiors were built on a set in a studio, the exterior of the actual Studio City house featured prominently in the show's 117 episodes, most notably in its credits sequences.

The two-bedroom, three-bathroom split-level at 11222 Dilling St.in North Hollywood, California, just hit the market this week, and the real estate agent handling the sale is ready for an "avalanche" of interest.

But if you're looking for 1970s design, it's a dream home.

Records show George and Violet McCallister bought the home in 1973 for $61,000. That means this is the first time the house will have changed hands since "The Brady Bunch" was still in its heyday.

The beloved Florence Henderson sitcom aired from September 1969 to March 1974 and spawned TV spinoffs, reunion films and stage plays.

Meghan Markle finds it hard to obey certain royal rules from Queen
Apparently, that put the royal family in their silence mode...so, I gave yet another interview to break that silence. The Royals are an embarrassment for being so cold.

Photos of the interior posted on Zillow reveal that the home is gloriously, purposefully - Zillow says "perfectly" - and unabashedly stuck in the '70s, right down to the wood paneling and rock-faced fireplace in the family room.

However, Carswell said, the couple's children, who are selling the house, are giving preference to buyers who intend to preserve the iconic home as it is.

"I have several buyers already interested", Jodie Levitus Francisco, a realtor with Berkshire Hathaway, told Deadline.com.

Carswell said they hope to avoid razing the property.

The house sits on a 12,500 square-foot lot that borders the Los Angeles River. The house may not belong to the Brady family, but it is still a symbol of the re-married parents, six kids and quirky housekeeper that millions of Americans invited into their own homes back in the day.
