During the series premiere of Who Is America?

Van Cleave isn't the only high-profile American who has fallen for one of Sacha's Who Is America? pranks - politician Sarah Palin walked out of a bogus interview with a man she thought was a USA war veteran called Dr. Billy Wayne Ruddick, Jr.

According to Variety, the first episode sees Cohen, in character as a former Israeli colonel named "Erran Morad", traveling the USA to learn about the country's gun policy.

Walsh turns up during that sequence, which also includes former MS senator Trent Lott and GOP congressmen Matt Gaetz, Dana Rohrabacher and Joe Wilson.

"It's something we should think about in America, by putting guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens, good guys, whether they be teachers, or whether they actually be talented children or highly-trained preschoolers", Lott said on the program.

Former Illinois Congressman Joe Walsh was also featured in the clip.

The comedian also interviewed two pro-gun activists - Philip van Cleave and Larry Pratt - who not only supported the program but also helped record the truly outrageous video promoting fake gun products aimed towards kids - like "Gunny Rabbit" and "Puppy Pistol", for instance.

When will Who is America air in the UK?

Sacha Baron Cohen's new series Who Is America? has been getting a lot of free press lately courtesy of public outrage from Sarah Palin, Roy Moore, and Joe Walsh, who were evidently tricked into interviews with Cohen in disguise.

Fans of Baron Cohen can expect more of the same as he dupes unsuspecting interviewees. "He's a amusing guy because he gets people to say stupid things".

Palin accused Cohen of disguising himself as a disabled US veteran and convincing her to travel across the country to speak with him.

'This "legit opportunity" to honor American Vets and contribute to a "legit Showtime historical documentary" was requested of me via a speakers bureau, ' said Palin. It's here that he encounters Walsh, who enthusiastically backs the program. Palin says she sat through what she called a long interview full of "Hollywoodism's disrespect and sarcasm" before she walked out.

Cohen later denied the charge - in character - that he presented himself as a 'wounded veteran'. I did NOT say I was a War Vet.

Another prominent character is the motorised scooter-bound Dr. Billy Wayne Ruddick, founder of fictional right-wing news site Truthbrary.org, whose aim is to take down the "mainstreme" media.
