  • Prince Harry and Meghan the Duchess of Sussex attend the launch of the Nelson Mandela Centenary Exhibition marking the 100th anniversary of anti-apartheid leader's birth

Harry's father, Prince Charles, walked her down the aisle instead.

Thomas, who famously backed out of attending his daughter's marriage to Prince Harry, has also accused the Royal Family of turning Meghan into "something out of the 1930's".

The new royal wore the tailored garment while attending the official opening of the Nelson Mandela Centenary Exhibition in London alongside her husband, Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry.

After getting himself banned from the royal wedding in May for staging paparazzi shots of himself preparing for the wedding, ol' Tommy boy, who lives in Mexico, said he wanted to see the Duchess.

"If I chose in a month, or couple of months, to go to England - I want to see my daughter".

"I don't care whether she is p***** off at me or not".

Kensington Palace also released the official portraits from the couple's youngest son's royal christening later in the day.

"It really worries me", he continued.

The 73-year-old argued that Meghan is "under too much pressure" as a member of the royal family. "There's a high price to pay to be married to that family".

Despite the scorching hot weather, Meghan opted for the full-length trench-style dress that came to just below her knees. "Why in 2018 are we dressing like the 1930s?" he said.

Have something to add to the story?

Mr Markle claims Meghan appears to be "terrified' in her new role as a Duchess".

After participating in an interview with Good Morning Britain that reportedly landed him in hot water with his daughter and the royals, guess what Thomas Markle did?

"All I am doing is setting the record straight and reaching out to my daughter", he explained. Are they shunned?" he wondered, adding, "Does this make any sense to you or anyone else? I'd like to put our differences behind us and get together. I honestly think that if the queen took the time to think that she would not see me because I did some stupid photographs, that is ridiculous. "I'm fairly outspoken about certain things but I'm no different to any other father". I just want to clear the air and tell her how proud I am of her.
