Analyzing the World Cup's issues at a briefing Wednesday, the head of FIFA's diversity program also acknowledged wanting fewer images of attractive women in stadiums to be shown on future broadcasts.

But, the federation's diversity boss, Federico Addiechi, said the organisation has told its broadcast service to stop zooming in on "hot women" in the stands.

Sexism has proven a constant issue in Russian Federation over the course of the World Cup and there have been several cases of female television presenters being groped and kissed by male fans.

Prior to the tournament, racism and homophobia were identified as areas if concern but Fair Network executive director Piara Powar said sexism was the main area of discrimination.

He also said it could be "normal evolution" to make it against Federation Internationale de Football Association policy in the first place.

Addiechi added that it was not a "proactive campaign" but said "we'll take action against things that are wrong".

Nadal edges del Potro in 5-set Wimbledon thriller
Del Potro too noted the change in conditions but appeared to relish the chance to slide around a bit more on the grass. Nadal broke for 3-2 but had to save break points in the sixth and eighth games before securing a memorable victory.

France booked their spot in the final in Moscow with a slender win over Belgium, while Croatia edged past England to seal their place in a World Cup final for the first time in their history.

The "hot female fan" image is widespread in coverage of the World Cup.

Incidents during reports from the World Cup have drawn attention to the journalist's movement to end sexism and harassment.

FIFA's warning to broadcasters comes ahead of the World Cup final between France and Croatia.

Fare is an anti-discrimination network that monitors fan behavior as a partner of Federation Internationale de Football Association.

If you go to Google and type in the words "World Cup" and "women fans" what comes up is images of lovely women dressed in their nations colours and usually wearing short shorts or crop tops.
