Brexit resignations cause more upheaval in United Kingdom housing sector

It is the latest astonishing development in a chaotic week for the Prime Minister, who has been forced to also deal with the resignation of Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson on Monday evening - less than 24 hours after Mr Davis quit.

Mr Johnson and Mr Davis were joined by another Brexit minister Steve Baker MP, and two parliamentary private secretary MPs Conor Burns and Chris Green.

Gold would be a big beneficiary of such a scenario as investors seek out safe havens because of the potential financial turmoil a snap election would cause.

The 1922 Committee - which takes its name from a meeting of Conservative MPs in October 1922 which led to the end of the party's coalition government with the Liberals - is comprised of MPs who do not hold office in government (known as "backbenchers") but who hold the core control mechanism of the Conservative Party. We are yet to have clarity around questions of design, quality and delivery methods concerning the homes we build.

Who will be the next Prime Minister if Theresa May loses a confidence vote?

Conservative chairman Brandon Lewis said: "Maria Caulfield and Ben Bradley have worked hard since the start of the year to promote women and young people on behalf of the Conservative Party".

Only days after it appeared the Cabinet had finally agreed a Brexit stategy, Mr Davis gave the bombshell news that he was walking away.

Ben Bradley and Maria Caulfield warned that Mrs May's plans for close links with Europe after Brexit risked handing Jeremy Corbyn the keys to 10 Downing Street.

We won't know the answer to that for some time, but James himself seems to be getting the hang of this L.A. thing already.

It comes as the Tory government tries to get a handle of infighting over how best to deal with Brexit. They include Britain's European Union bill as part of the settlement.

May has briefed leaders including European Union president Donald Tusk and German Chancellor Angela Merkel on her plan and reported a positive response, although they are awaiting the detail.

However, some are already calling for May's head. We've had constructive dialogue with him in his role at the Department of Work and Pensions, and it is positive that someone with an understanding of the strong links between welfare and housing has been appointed as Housing Minister.

In her response, Mrs May said that "I do not agree with your characterisation of the policy we agreed at cabinet on Friday".

Raab went on to support Boris Johnson and then now Environment Secretary Gove in the Conservative leadership race to replace David Cameron in 2016, and wanted to serve under May as a Minister of State or above, but according to his blog "it was not to be". "They will not prepare for "no deal".

Mrs Merkel declined to be drawn on Mrs May's Brexit proposals, saying that the remaining 27 European Union countries will determine a common response after they are set out in a White Paper on Thursday.

"If the Government plans to get the Chequers deal through on the back of Labour Party votes that would be the most divisive thing you could do".

But May's sense that she had faced down the rebels and weathered the storm is likely to have been shaken by Tuesday's resignations - which took the total number of departures since Chequers to seven - and she will be anxious about what the flying monkeys will unleash next.
