Apple unveils underwhelming MacBook Pro update

  • Apple rumoured to be releasing a linewide hardware refresh this year

Apple has updated its MacBook Pro lineup, with new 13-inch and 15-inch Touch Bar models now featuring faster processors with up to 6 cores, up to 32GB of RAM, up to 4TB SSD, True Tone Displays, and the Apple T2 security chip. "The 15" MacBook Pro will now offer six-core Coffee Lake CPUs and up to 32 GB of DDR4 memory, while 13" models with Apple's Touch Bar will use four-core Coffee Lake parts with 128 MB of eDRAM on package. Upgrading to 32GB RAM instead of 16GB costs an extra $400, while opting for the 4TB of super-fast PCIe SSD over the base storage will cost an incredible $3200!

But Apple hasn't promised the new keyboards will offer any additional reliability over its previous generation butterfly keyboard. This means you can now summon Siri by simply barking at your machine, if you have absolutely no shame whatsoever.

The new notebooks also support up to 32 GB of RAM and include a True Tone display and Touch Bar. The new iPad Pro models are set to introduce Face ID and an updated bezel-less design, Kuo said, and will come in two sizes: an updated 12.9-inch model and a 11-inch version. Outdated processors had been one of the most significant complaints about the MacBook Pro range, with several rumors throughout the past year that the Cupertino firm had been waiting for Intel's newest silicon to be ready. And while there's a long list of potential devices coming our way, Kuo reaffirmed his March report that that the Apple Watch Series 4 will come in two variations with bigger screens, one with a 1.57-inch display and another with a 1.78-inch display.

England vs India: VVS Laxman picks his playing XI for first ODI
I am sure he will be watching the way Eoin talks to the team, the way he goes about things and the decisions that he makes. Farbrace believes Root can learn from Morgan - and vice versa.

The aptly named miniature desktop computer Mac mini may get an update before the year ends. Apple has some new MacBook Pro leather sleeves to go with the notebook, too, in Saddle Brown, Midnight Blue, and Black. However, I think HEXUS readers will be most interested in the Mac computer expectations.

In April, the 13-inch MacBook Pros without touch bars had come under scrutiny, with some users reporting battery-related issues.

The 13-inch MacBook Pro features, among others, a quad-core processor and up to 2TB of SSD storage.
