Sixers unwilling to spend too much for Kawhi Leonard

  • Kyle Lowry and Kawhi Leonard

It's been almost a month since it was reported that Kawhi Leonard wants out of San Antonio, and yet the 2014 Finals MVP is still wearing a Spurs uniform.

All three of these stellar small forwards had the chance to come team up with the East's up-and-comers, help bear the fruit of the Process, and have their name live in Philadelphia 76ers sports history. With San Antonio in no rush to move its disgruntled superstar, the drama could drag on throughout the summer - and beyond.

But the two-time National Basketball Association defensive player of the year has expressed a desire to be traded to his hometown Los Angeles Lakers.

To further complicate things, it's been reported that the Spurs brass doesn't want to trade the 27-year-old former Finals MVP to another team in the West. He was clearly a favorite for the team and years later, he could be in the mix yet again.

According to the Associated Press , "Kavanaugh is likely to be more conservative than Justice Kennedy on a range of social issues. Widespread shock and outright hysteria quickly followed the news that President Trump would within two years get a second U.S.

The Toronto Raptors also generated buzz as a potential destination for Leonard.

With LeBron James leaving the Eastern Conference, there is speculation that Masai Ujiri could be inclined to make a bold win-now trade of the magnitude of acquiring Leonard. It would likely include a veteran like Lowry or DeRozan rather than a young asset, but the Raptors would be in a tough spot to lose either of their All-Stars next season.

According to Bontemps, the Philadelphia 76ers have consistently remained atop the list of teams expected to land Leonard.

Leonard is keen to leave San Antonio after a fall-out with the organisation over the quad injury that kept him to just nine games last season. Leonard is reportedly not against re-signing with Philadelphia next off-season, but the same might not be said of other potential trade suitors - especially considering the Lakers are positioned to have ample cap room next summer when Leonard hits free agency.
