Four divers who stayed with the group were still to emerge.

The 12 boys, aged 11-16, and their coach, 25, are part of Wild Boars Football Club in Thailand.

The boys and their coach, all from the "Wild Boars" soccer team, became trapped by rainy season floodwater on June 23rd when they had set out to explore the vast cave complex after soccer practice.

British divers found them grouped together in complete darkness on a muddy bank several kilometres inside the cave on Monday.

The first four boys were brought out of the cave Sunday.

Scott believes the cave rescue story, which will be centred around the two British divers who discovered the boys, is the flawless project for Pure Flix.

The fate of 12 boys and their coach from Thailand captured hearts in America and across the globe. About 100 people were involved with the rescue efforts.

The footballers still awaiting rescue are about another two kilometres further in, at a point very hard to access.

Rescue workers and divers are using the break to rest and prepare for the next phase of the grueling operation, which Osotthanakorn said involves some of the hardest diving in the world.

The rescue process started at 10am local time on Sunday and involved 13 worldwide divers and five Thai navy seals, who were referred to as "an all-star team" by NarongsakOsatanakorn, who is the Governor of Chiang Rai province and head of the joint command centre coordinating the rescue. Tuesday's operation began just after 10am. Medical experts say they are in high spirits and generally healthy.

The youth soccer team rescued from a cave in Thailand will be unable to accept FIFA's invitation to attend the World Cup final. It was an incredible result considering that the boys spent nine days incommunicado, without food, until they were found, and then waited days more before embarking on an hourslong dive that even the most skilled cave divers have described as among the most unsafe they have attempted.

But they say they have to do cheek swabs of the children and the parents to do DNA tests to establish parentage. In this June 25 photo, a mother migrating from Honduras holds her 1-year-old child while surrendering to U.S.

The three Navy seals and a doctor who accompanied the boys in the cave complex are still inside.

Bundesliga champion Bayern Munich added: "Bayern is delighted to hear of the successful rescue of the young football team and their coach in Thailand".

After pondering for days how to get the 13 out, a rescue operation was launched on Sunday when four of the boys were brought out, tethered to rescue divers.

"We did something nobody thought possible", the acting governor of Chiang Rai province, Narongsak Osatanakorn, said once the 18-day ordeal was over.

"The kids are footballers and have high immune systems", Chokedamrongsuk said per USA Today.

Family members have seen at least some of the boys from behind a glass barrier.

Nargonsak said this phase may take longer than the previous two rescue missions. Once they were inside, the tunnels behind them flooded after heavy rain. (40 kilograms), which is "light enough to be carried by 2 divers, small enough to get through narrow gaps", Musk tweeted, adding that the contraption is "extremely robust".

A submarine made by Elon Musk's SpaceX and The Boring Company created to help the rescue is tested in a swimming pool.

The eight boys who have left the cave are being treated in an isolation ward in a Chiang Rai hospital.

It is believed that the second lot of boys are in better health than the first four who were brought out first because they were deemed the "weakest".
