Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey announced today that the team has re-signed free agent guard/forward Gerald Green.

The Rockets have lost two key perimeter players in Trevor Ariza and Luc Mbah a Moute in free agency, but it appears they're targeting Anthony as a replacement, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Could Melo be headed to the Houston Rockets?

In order to lessen their luxury tax burden, the Thunder are expected to cut ties with Anthony this summer after just one season.

Last season was a pretty good one for the Houston Rockets. He averaged 7.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.2 steals a game last season for the Rockets in his 10th National Basketball Association campaign.

The Thunder are working on trade scenarios where Anthony, 34, would be moved as an expiring contract and be waived, becoming a free agent once his $27.9 million 2017-18 salary clears waivers.

Last season, his first with the OKC Thunder, Anthony averaged 16.2 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.

The Clippers on Monday also officially announced the re-signing of guard Avery Bradley, whose deal was reported last week as a two-year, $25 million pact. The Rockets need Capela if they want to remain an elite contender in the West. "Avery's intensity and proven work ethic will have a direct impact on the performance and personality of this team". He's averaged 24.1 points over 15 National Basketball Association seasons, but winning in the postseason has been one thing Anthony has always struggled to do.

Green, 32, has averaged 9.8 points and 19.7 minutes in 585 regular-season games.
