Eric Dier has paid tribute to England's fans at home and in Russian Federation, as the Three Lions gear up for Saturday's World Cup quarter final with Sweden.

Pickford, 24, was one of the heroes of England's win over Colombia on Tuesday night.

Henderson was anxious when his miss gave Colombia the advantage in a nerve-shredding conclusion to an absorbing encounter in Moscow.

Pickford had earlier made a stunning save from Mateus Uribe in normal time, but the game finished 1-1 when Yerry Mina cancelled out Harry Kane's 57th minute penalty with a header deep into stoppage time.

Dier's emphatic finish did exactly that, putting England into the World Cup quarter-finals for the first time since 2006.

England's Jordan Pickford has managed to rise above the criticism aimed at him during the World Cup - even if, at 6ft 1ins, other goalkeepers look down on him.

Israel Warns Syria Against Golan Deployment, Boosts Refugee Aid
He also said rebels had agreed on a phased handover of their weapons and the deployment of Russian military police in the area near the Jordanian border as part of the deal.

"But I think we have always viewed them at our level and I don't think that's right because their tournament record is better than ours".

Fr Marc added: "We have especially seen that asylum seekers and refugees that have come to Sunderland get behind the team and support the England football team".

Belgium will now go on to play France in the World Cup semi-final.

"I think England can win against Sweden - the Swedes are organised and disciplined but there's nothing to fear". "It's all about the set position and I got a hand to it", said the 6ft 1in shot stopper. "I might be young but I've got good mental strength and experience and I used that today". I want to make that clear'.

He said: "The Fans Zone has been fantastic, really good, and it would be great to have more occasions like this in our city, there's been a great atmosphere".

"Darlington can't take much credit for where he is now but we handed him the opportunity and he passed it with flying colours".
