  • Mother'sold her seven year-old son to two men

Texas Department of Public Safety troopers executed a search warrant after finding a seven-year-old boy who they say was sold by his mother to two men.

Esmeralda Garza, 29, has been arrested after allegedly selling her 7-year-old son and attempting to sell two younger children.

During the raid, agents found three children, ages 7,3 and 2, that were in the process of being sold.

According to KRIS, Garza's charges could be upgraded if authorities find evidence that she sold the child with the intention of trafficking or performing sexual activities.

Jail records did not list a lawyer for her.

Garza, of Corpus Christi, was charged with the sale or purchase of a child, which is a third-degree felony. Her bond is set at $100,000.

Investigators are still looking into the woman and said there could be additional charges filed against her as well.

Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing.

During their investigation, they also arrested two other individuals.
