  • Trump supporters boycott Walmart for selling 'Impeach 45' clothing

The "Impeach 45" clothes are no longer on the site, but a large selection of pro-Trump items are still for sale. Still, there were plenty of anti-Trump merchandise, including items calling for his impeachment, available from other sellers.

Supporters of President Donald Trump are mad online because Walmart, until recently, sold an anti-Trump shirt.

U.S. retail giant Walmart has come under fire after angry shoppers spotted a T-shirt range being sold on its third-party website calling for Donald Trump to be impeached. The reality is that Walmart, like many other companies, doesn't keep track of everything sold through its online marketplace.

The T-shirts weren't being sold by Walmart itself, but by third-party sellers including Old Glory and Teespring Inc.

A spokesperson for Walmart told Reuters that the items were sold by "third-party sellers" on its open marketplace website and were not "offered directly by Walmart". The continued sale of the clothing items and whether or not a widespread boycott of Walmart catches on has not yet been determined.

And on Monday, hundreds of people attended a celebration of the life for Hiaasen at the Irvine Nature Center in Owings Mills. But Buckley, a Democrat, tells the Sun that the scope of the tragedy at the city's newspaper merited more than that.

Neil Saunders, managing director of consulting firm GlobalData Retail said Walmart's decision to remove the anti-Trump merchandise made sense given the company's profile.

Walmart came under fire for another incident last November when customers noticed a shirts that read, "Rope". Walmart hasn't responded to media inquiries seeking a response to the boycott threats.

"We're removing these types of items pending review of our marketplace policies".

Old Glory is one of the companies selling the clothing with "Impeach 45" printed across the front of the shirts. At midday, the phrase #BoycottWalmart was trending on Twitter. "Tree. Journalist. SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED" was listed on its website through an outside company.
