Keita will finally complete his £48 million transfer from RB Leipzig to Liverpool on July 1 after the Premier League giants agreed to trigger his release clause nearly 12 months ago.

Liverpool introduced their new signing, Naby Keita, to media on Wednesday; they declared that he will wear Number 8 that belongs to the club's historic leader, Steven Gerrard, who left the club in 2015.

Liverpool fans are extremely excited at the prospect of seeing Naby Keita in action this season.

The 23-year-old midfielder joined the Reds this summer having agreed personal terms with the Premier League club since 2017.

Midfielder Naby Keita is eager to help Liverpool build on their impressive run last campaign as the Guinea global prepares to complete his transfer to the Premier League club on Sunday. "When it happened, it was a surprise and I didn't expect it", added Keita, who scored 17 goals in 71 appearances for the Bundesliga side.

"I would say an eight, sometimes he can play as a six, but I could see him more as an eight behind the three strikers".

New teaser suggests red OnePlus 6 is coming
Despite the release date being set for tomorrow, July 2, alleged photos of the new colorway have already shown up online. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Oxygen OS 5.1 on top.

If somebody like that gives you his shirt number, it's not to play around with, it is to try (to) do as much as he did.

I chose Liverpool because it is a team I watched often.

Keita has never met Oxlade-Chamberlain before but was given a warm welcome by the Englishman, who showed exactly why he's so well loved at Liverpool.

Liverpool were mightily impressive last season, but with Keita now amongst their ranks, many fancy them to make the jump up to that elusive next level, and win their first league title since 1990.

"I actually think they've got to get better support".

The Reds have also signed Brazil global Fabinho in a £39m deal from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco earlier in the summer transfer window.
