Kawhi Leonard's birthday wish: A trade to the Lakers

  • PM Roundup Olivia Culpo Germany Lost In Russia...Again Lakers Feeling Heat To Acquire Kawhi Leonard

There were reports of a "Godfather" offer from the Lakers that may have involved most, if not all of the assets I just mentioned. If he does, any team in the league, including the Cavs, will be able to sign him when free agency opens on Sunday.

The Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets and Philadelphia 76ers are expected to be the most ardent suitors for James, who has played in the past eight NBA Finals and nine overall in his career. But getting Leonard could be the lure the Lakers need to entice James to the West Coast. Whether or not they bet the farm and go in too deep, with nothing to surround Leonard and perhaps LeBron with, is a whole other can of beans. The team technically has until the trade cutoff date in February.

As far as who the players might be in this possible trade... There's no timetable on when anything will happen, but with LeBron James' opt-out, could the Lakers rush for a conclusion and put together their superteam?

James spends a good portion of the offseason in Los Angeles, where the hometown Lakers are considered to be the favorites to sign the 15-year veteran.

Recently, it's been suggested James would be willing to join the youthful Lakers without significant upgrades to their roster. It was rehab for me for eight months. "Understanding, especially, where my boys are at this point in their age. So sitting down and considering everything, my family, is a huge part of whatever I'll decide to do in my career and it will continue to be that". The 2014 NBA Finals MVP has demanded to be traded. James posted a video Thursday of himself and his son, Bronny, jumping off a cliff into the ocean.

Amazon Is Drafting Entrepreneurs to Help It Win the Delivery Wars
What just happened? Amazon has always been trying to lessen its reliance on delivery companies such as FedEx and UPS . Inc. ( AMZN ) is enlisting entrepreneurs to help deliver its packages to the homes of millions of US customers.

It's been well-documented that LeBron loves Pop and it's been previously reported that Pop would be leading the Spurs' charge to sign him if he opts out of his deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers by the end of the day on Friday. This report would indicate they're attempting to make a big splash right now.

ESPN reported the number of teams James and his representatives, Rich Paul and Mark Termini, could be interested in as free agents will be small.

George hasn't been a good fit alongside Russell Westbrook in Oklahoma City. Leonard is not a free agent yet (that will happen next season) but he might as well be.

So when the Lakers come calling for a trade package, it had better be really good in order to convince the Spurs to give up their best player.
