  • Lewandowski says 'womp womp' at story of young girl being separated from mother at border

"How absolutely dare you, sir".

The former Trump campaign manager was debating Democratic strategist Zac Petkanas over the policy Tuesday night.

"Womp womp", Lewandowski responded, a retort reflective of the views of several within the Trump administration - like Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and Attorney General Jeff Sessions - who have been equally dismissive of the trauma associated with family separation and more concerned with deterring illegal immigration. In the middle of his account, Lewandowski said "wah wah" sarcastically.

Enraged by Lewandowski's callous remark, Petkanas replied, "Did you just say "womp womp" to a ten-year-old with Down syndrome being taken away from her mother?"

The next night on Raw , Rousey destroyed Bliss during her championship celebration, and dropped the champ through a table. The Rowdy One used a judo toss on Angle and used the MITB briefcase to attack both the RAW General Manager and Bliss.

Lewandowski worked as campaign manager for Trump during the USA president's 2016 campaign. During a press conference on Tuesday, Mexico's Foreign Affairs Minister Luis Videgaray remarked, "From conviction and by constitutional obligation, we can not remain indifferent before an inhumane and cruel situation".

The children's mother, who accompanied them to the border, is in a shelter in Brownsville, Texas, where a former Walmart now houses thousands of would-be immigrants on the border with Mexico.

He said that the Mexican government was working to have the girl released so she can be reunited with her father, who is a legal US resident.

Later in the same segment, after Lewandowski had "explained" that he was not mocking a disabled child but rather the idea that people cared about the disabled child, Fox host Sandra Smith circled back, asking generically about the level of "rhetoric" in discussions of family separation at our border.
