In light of Chloe Dykstra's scathing Medium article, The Nerdist has issued an official statement regarding the allegations against the abusive ex believed to be Chris Hardwick.

The 46-year-old television star broke his silence after his former partner Chloe Dykstra wrote an online post in which she said she was abused by an ex-boyfriend.

"We have had a positive working relationship with Chris Hardwick for many years", said AMC in a statement.

She says she felt forced to take a job at his firm and adds "I$3 let him sexually assault me" after he reminded her his previous relationship had ended due to a lack of sex. She also said she contemplated suicide.

In an essay for Medium titled, "Rose-Colored Glasses: A Confession", the actress accused an ex from her early 20s of exhibiting "controlling behavior" throughout their three-year relationship. She never named Chris as the ex, but every detail of the story made it clear he's the man to whom she was referring.

The Nerdist co-founder and stand-up comedian has also been removed from their website.

On Sunday, Hardwick's AMC interview series Talking With Chris Hardwick debuts its second season, which takes the place of the Hardwick-hosted Talking Dead when The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead are not in season.

Hardwick has since responded to the allegations with denial.

At first, the actress thought her new boyfriend was "going through some serious emotional discomfort" after ending a separate long-term relationship, and called that belief "a huge mistake". "With the assistance of a woman who'd gained my trust and my heart over the past year, he steamrolled my career", Dykstra wrote. She adds a quote from BoJack Horseman-"You know, it's amusing; when you look at someone through rose-colored glasses, all the red flags just look like flags"-and urges everyone to look out for the red flags". "What I felt that this man wanted was a woman who would feed him, sleep with him, and go to events with him".

And Robert Kazinsky, known for his role in Warcraft, publicly supported Dykstra's claims on Twitter, slamming Hardwick for his denial and stating that he has "seen the proof" himself. She did not name Hardwick but described him as someone who went "from a mildly successful podcaster to a powerhouse CEO of his own company", noted he was almost 20 years older than her - Hardwick is 46 - and that they split roughly four years ago when she was 25. "He succeeded. I was blacklisted".

He claims that he was blindsided by her post, and devastated by her accusations.

Hardwick launched the Nerdist podcast in 2010 and built it into the digital network Nerdist Industries, which was sold to Legendary Entertainment in 2012. "It clearly made the rounds", she wrote.
