  • Wa Tiba was last seen gardening at her home in Southeast Sulawesi Indonesia on Thursday evening

Upon cutting open the snake's belly, the entire body of the victim was found inside. Attacks on humans are supposed to be as rare as winning the lottery and being struck by lightning at the same time, according to a Washington Post report.

The body of 54-year-old Wa Tiba was found on Friday when villagers cut open a seven-metre (23-foot) bloated python in the village of Persiapan Lawela on the island of Muna, offshore of Sulawesi.

Giant pythons are commonly found in Indonesia and the Philippines. They are widespread in Indonesia and other parts of Southeast Asia. Now, these reticulated pythons are the world's longest snakes and longest reptiles, and among the three heaviest snakes.

The village's chief, known as Faris, said: "When they cut open the snake's belly they found Tiba's body still intact with all her clothes".

The revelation that the snake may have eaten the woman was made after 100 locals launched a search for the woman after she failed to return from her garden.

Apple to close iPhone security loophole used by law enforcement
The FBI later obtained a hacking tool that allowed the agency to access the contents of the terrorist's iPhone. Apple said it was working a fix to mitigate the possibility of accessing data from GrayKey or similar tools.

Death of Wa Tiba is not the first case when a human has been attacked and killed by a reticulated python.

Her sister went to look for her at the plantation, only to find her footprints, a torch, slippers and a machete on the ground.

In March past year, a farmer was killed by a python in the village of Salubiro on Sulawesi island.

After being declared missing following her disappearance on Thursday, June 14, 2018, an Indonesian woman has been found dead inside a python on the Island of Sulawesi.

The locals killed the snake and dissected its stomach, in which they found Wa Tiba's body.
