Anthony Martial wants to leave Manchester United, says agent

  • Anthony Martial could be set for a summer exit from Old Trafford

Speaking to RMC Sport, Lamboley said, "After thinking about all the possibilities, Anthony wants to leave Manchester United, there are many scenarios".

"There are many reasons, for now it is too early to discuss it. Anthony will talk soon to go through that".

While Lamboley admits his client's future remains in United's hands - and Sky sources understand the club are not looking to sell the player - Martial, who was omitted from the France World Cup squad, is now odds-against to stay at Old Trafford.

Martial has been linked to the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea, though United will be open to him moving overseas, with Juventus another possible suitor.

"I think when the most powerful club in the world does not find an agreement in eight months of negotiations, it is that it really does not want to make an important player a part of its workforce".

Martial was arguably one of the highest performing players at Man United in the first half of the campaign before Jose Mourinho chose to sign Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal in the January transfer window.

Now his agent has confirmed that Martial wants to leave Old Trafford, words which will be music to the ears of several Serie A clubs who are firm fans of the Frenchman.

"We do not have the same vision of Anthony's future".

"He is disappointed because he has shown love for the club and supporters over the last three years".

"But he got hooked and showed great professionalism and was successful".

Martial joined United as a teenager who, at the time, was touted as a potential future Ballon d'Or victor.

"I think he has done his best for three years".

Mourinho believes that Martial, who has scored 36 times in 136 games since joining in 2015, can improve, but the player wants more game time.

"Anthony has a choice, I cannot say anything else on this subject at the moment but you can imagine that the moment that a player like Anthony comes onto the market, lots of clubs are interested".

"I can not say anything on the subject at the moment but you think that from the moment a player like Anthony is on the market a lot of clubs are interested. He just wants to play, find pleasure, the feeling with the coach will be essential".
