  • Angelina Jolie ordered to give Brad Pitt more time with kids

The custody battle between estranged couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie just heated up, with a judge ordering new restrictions for Jolies involvement in Pitts interaction with their six children.

Citing court documents obtained by The Blast, People said that a judge named specific steps that Jolie needs to take to help her children improve their relationship with their father.

It was also revealed that Jolie reads through her children's text messages and the judge has asked her to end that odd habit.

The order also outlines a shared custody schedule for the summer, where Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh, Pax, Vivienne and Knox will spend their time between their parents' homes in LA and London, while Angelina maintains primary custody.

Pitt will choose one or two of the minor children to see at a time and during this period, he gets to spend time with each child at least twice. In addition, Jolie is barred from being present during or interfering with Pitt's custodial time.

From July 8 through July 14, Pitt will spend four consecutive days with the kids.

With the exception of 16-year-old Maddox, who is old enough to decide how much time he wants to spend with his father, the other children will be spending more time with Pitt this summer, specifically between June 1 and August 10.

A child psychologist has to be present while Brad visits the kids in London - where Angelina is renting a house right now - and has to make arrangements to have them see their doctors while in CA. He is responsible for returning them back to Jolie in London on July 29, and, he must pay for their transportation.

The "Fight Club" actor can also call or text the kiddos anytime he'd like, without interference from Jolie.

To even the playing field, the judge has granted 54-year-old Pitt visitation rights over the United States summer holidays. 'They're talking about how it would work. At the time, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services was investigating Pitt on an allegation of child abuse, stemming from an argument he'd had with one of his children aboard a flight from France to the United States.

A spokesperson for Jolie tells ET that the "misleading leak" of these court docs "is not in the best interests of the children".
