  • White House adviser: Trudeau remarks ‘betrayal’

They must open their markets and take down their trade barriers!

Canadians have fought and died in almost every war alongside US troops.

"Fair Trade is now to be called Fool Trade if it is not Reciprocal", Trump tweeted, as he criticised Canadian tariffs on imports of United States milk.

US trade officials are going further. But she cautioned against tit-for-tat retaliation which might lead to a trade war.

Canadian Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland had responded to the White House comments by saying that Canada will retaliate to U.S. tariffs in a measured and reciprocal way and that Canada will always be willing to talk.

"They come upon you abruptly and they dissipate just as quickly", he said Monday.

However, Collins' tweet was met with a chorus of angry replies that mainly implored her to confront Trump about the issue.

After Trump left the event, he launched a scathing attack on Canada's tariffs, while Trudeau called the US president's steel and aluminum imports tax "kind of insulting", and insisted that Canadians "will not be pushed around" when it comes to further talks.

Members of Parliament gave unanimous consent for a motion backing Canadian steel and aluminium, hit by USA tariffs, as well as the supply management system that supports key agriculture sectors, and gave a standing ovation for the government response to the Trump administration's verbal attacks on Trudeau.

Trump Seeks End to Pre-existing Condition Mandate
It's so foolish, in fact, that it could wind up making something like single-payer health care - gasp! - a reality. Estimates vary widely because there is not a standard definition of what counts as a pre-existing condition.

President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un have arrived in Singapore, ahead of Tuesday's summit, slated to be the first-ever meeting between an American president and a North Korean leader.

His unexpected and extraordinary attack flummoxed Canadian officials, who have waged an 18-month campaign created to cultivate allies among US policymakers and business leaders in defense of Canada's interests.

"Fair trade is now to be called fool trade if it is not reciprocal", he wrote in one tweet that then went on to accuse Canada of imposing unfair taxes on United States dairy products.

The company has said its mills support about 5,800 direct and indirect jobs in ME and New Brunswick. "Our Tariffs are in response to his of 270% on dairy!"

Senior Trump aides escalated the rhetoric on Sunday morning's news shows, with chief economic adviser Larry Kudlow calling Trudeau's remarks "a betrayal" on CNN's "State of the Union" and top trade adviser Peter Navarro saying on "Fox News Sunday" that "there's a special place in hell" for the Canadian leader.

President Donald Trump's fight with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau not only threatens to unravel the US's relationship with one of its oldest global partners - it could also significantly damage the USA economy.

Asked about Navarro's comments, Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland said, according to reporter Daniel Dale, "Canada does not conduct its diplomacy through ad hominem attacks". When you use it with your best friend, your next door neighbor, your greatest ally, and I think one of your singular best trading partners, it's completely uncalled for, unprofessional, and I call for, today, an apology.

Trump issues another Twitter salvo Sunday night, suggesting that Canada is "bragging" in an unspecified release about benefiting from US trade - "Fair Trade is now to be called Fool Trade if it is not Reciprocal".
