  • Flame on! Elon Musk says Boring Company delivers its first ‘Not-a-Flamethrowers’

After Elon Musk presided over deliveries of the first batch of his tunneling company's flamethrowers, a handful of the devices have found their way to eBay where they are being offered at more than six times the original price.

Billionaire Elon Musk says the device should be called "not a flamethrower" to stay on the regulatory safe side.

The remaining 19,000 flamethrowers will be shipped to customers, but those lucky enough to attend the pick-up party were allowed to test out the device on site, by roasting ... what else?

To purchase The Boring Company's $500 "Not-a-Flamethrower", all 20,000 buyers were required to sign off on Green Eggs and Ham-inspired conditions. It also suggests having a fire extinguisher and a bucket of water on hand when using the Not-A-Flamethrower.

"Anyways, we are hosting a Not-a-Flamethrower pickup party in Los Angeles on June 9, 2018, from noon to 5 pm. Even though it's written in a joking manner".

US Air Force deserter says went missing because 'depressed'
Hughes was seen in the Albuquerque area withdrawing more than $28,000 from bank accounts, according to the AFOSI news release. Military officials said Hughes had access only to secret information pertinent to North Atlantic Treaty Organisation .

Musks' official Twitter account and the account for the Boring Company together tweeted a total of 16 photos from the event, mostly of their customers testing out the new product. Eager new flamethrower owners posted pictures and video on social media trying them out. These guys flame-roasted steaks.

It continued: "I will not use this in a house, I will not point this at my spouse, I will not use this in an unsafe way, The best use is créme brulee".

Not all of the images depicted safe or controlled use of the machines, however.

Meanwhile, YouTube vlogger Justine Ezarik accidently burned down parts of her backyard while filming videos demonstrating how to cook with the machine.

Some have criticised the sale of the Not-a-Flamethrower to the general public, viewing it as a major safety risk. An initial offering of 20,000 flamethrowers, priced at $500 each, sold out within four days in January.
