New Platinum game Babylon’s Fall revealed in Square Enix E3 Showcase 2018

12 June, 2018, 02:33 | Author: Tara Roberts

The title is Babylon's Fall, and you can see a brief teaser below. As you're flying around causing mayhem as Rico, you'll also encounter tornadoes, blizzards, lightning storms, and more, setting up some blockbuster risk/reward gameplay opportunities. However, Square Enix has said more will be shown off come August. From the debut trailer, it seems like cutscenes will be in live-action, but the gameplay will look like a standard game. That one comes with a couple of action figures based on the Toy Story world in-game and all the previous goodies.

Babylon's Fall is set to release in 2019 on PS4 and Steam.

Why the two new games are skipping the Xbox One is a mystery, especially as they're new IP, but since the excellent NieR: Automata (also a Platinum game) will be arriving on Microsoft's console on June 26 maybe it's more a question of when and not if.

Other Square Enix titles that should have some stage time include Just Cause 4, Octopath Traveler, the Final Fantasy 7 remake that was announced three years ago, and the Avengers project from Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal.

Shadow Of The Tomb Raider offered a first look at jungle combat, with what seems to be a stealth system very similar to the Predator sections in Batman: Arkham.
