Trump left the summit early Saturday, before it officially ended, to head to Singapore to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un on June 12. "Our Tariffs are in response to his of 270% on dairy!", Trump said in a second post.

As Trump flew from the summit with USA allies to a planned meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Singapore, he lashed out at Trudeau for what he said were his "false statements" at a news conference and said the USA would not endorse the G7 communique, a negotiated statement on shared priorities among the group.

Kudlow doubled down on blaming Trudeau in an appearance on CBS' "Face the Nation" later Sunday morning when he said the prime minister "picked a fight" and left Trump no choice but to pull out of the group's communique.

We are focused on everything we accomplished here at the #G7 summit.

But during his comments today, Trump raised multiple options for Nafta, including a potential new deal or the possibility of doing separate deals with Mexico and Canada, effectively cleaving the longtime agreement in two. "As Canadians we are polite, we're reasonable, but we also will not be pushed around".

His comments were reported by CTV.

Journalists traveling on Air Force One to Singapore with Trump had been told that the United States had made a decision to be part of the joint communique, which represented a minimal show of unity amid deep disagreements between Trump and the other six leaders over trade.

Trump's protectionist policies that have imposed tariffs on steel and aluminum imports from Canada, Mexico and the European Union are likely to become a flashpoint during the meeting with the leaders of Canada, Britain, France, Germany, Japan, Italy and the U.S.in La Malbaie, Quebec, Friday and Saturday.

Shortly after Trump tweeted, respected Republican Senator John McCain responded.

Today I think we had a couple of small lock ups, but as you continue to push the setup there are areas that can be affected. But the four-time world champion said it could have been worse. "Some of the marshals were already celebrating", he said.

"I agree with (United States) President (Donald) Trump: Russia should return to the G8", Conte tweeted from the G7 summit in Charlevoix, Canada.

The sides had managed to eke out a compromise final summit statement that pledged to protect the worldwide rules-based order and reform the trade system.

'This isn't just G7.

President Trump said that he expects other nations to provide fair market access to American exports. He later added, "It's going to stop". The noise of Trump's helicopter landing was so loud they had to stop talking for a while, in a scene one official compared to the opening from the US television series M.A.S.H.

One stunning photograph captured the tensions between the USA and other nations at the G7 summit in La Malbaie, Quebec, Canada on June 9, 2018. Trudeau rejected the idea.

Here's a World Bank graph of trade-weighted average tariffs for the G7 countries - with USA almost identical to UK/Italy/France/Ger, higher than Japan/Can. "But he doesn't bring up the fact that they charge us up to 300% on dairy - hurting our Farmers, killing our Agriculture", the USA president said.

This, he suggested, could involve "a check in and a renewal". Every year, the members of the group hold a summit to discuss economic matters.

Talks to modernize NAFTA, which started last August, have effectively stalled as Canada and Mexico resist USA demands for major changes such as the sunset clause and boosting the North American content of autos made in the three nations.
