The trailer, released on Friday, teases Armstrong's journey as he prepares for the most unsafe space mission in history, aboard the Apollo 11 spaceflight.

The two-minute trailer shows Gosling's Armstrong grappling with the complexities of executing "one of the most risky missions in history" and the mission's personal impact on his anxious wife, played by Claire Foy, and their young sons.

Following the first poster drop earlier today, Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for First Man. Kyle Chandler, Corey Stoll, Jason Clarke and Brian d'Arcy James are also part of the cast, among others. As reported by the Daily Mail, looking back at Armstrong's preparation and journey to the moon seems like an awe-inspiring and historical experience. This trailer was first aired on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight before it arrived online for all to see. We then get a glimpse at several key moments in Armstrong's life as he prepares to become the first human being ever to set foot on the moon.
