Jurgen Klopp has been a man on a mission for Liverpool in this summer's transfer window.

Liverpool's first choice is Oblak but the Spanish club have slapped a £80million price tag on their goalkeeper which the English club do not want to match. Loris Karius may never recover from his Champions League nightmare while Simon Mignolet simply isn't good enough.

The Reds have been linked with Alisson Becker but AS Roma are proving hard to deal with as they're demanding a huge fee after being criticised for selling Mohamed Salah too cheaply last summer.

Liverpool FC are considering a move to sign Southampton goalkeeper Alex McCarthy as an alternative for Alisson Becker, according to a report in England. If reports from the Mirror are to be believed, Liverpool are hoping that the French club would agree to sell Fekir for a fee of around £50 million. "[Southampton's] McCarthy on radar".

I will be ready - Salah expects to face Uruguay
As the dust settled on the incident the question was would the former Roma make it to Russian Federation in one piece and able to play.

Firmino and the 25-year-old keeper have linked up ahead of the World Cup in Russian Federation and Liverpool supporters are hopeful that the attacker can persuade the goalie to come to Anfield, the same way he did with Fabinho.

Atletico Madrid's Jan Oblak is also a target, but Firmino hopes fellow Brazilian Alisson will to join him at Anfield.

"The issue is Courtois is heavily linked with Real Madrid", he said.

"Sometimes I try and persuade him, I say "come to Liverpool, to stay with us", he said. "His agent is sorting his future but it wouldn't be a bad thing to have him here at Liverpool", Firmino said while on worldwide duty with one of the clubs considered to be a favorite at this year's tournament.
