In Gaza, at least 115 Palestinians had been killed and almost 3,800 wounded by Israeli army fire in previous protests near the border fence.

Following a request by the Palestinians earlier today (Saturday) to hold an emergency meeting at the UN's General Assembly over what they are calling "an excessive use of force" by Israel, the United Nations is scheduled to vote as early as this Wednesday on a resolution on Gaza that will condemn Israel.

On anti-semitism, Mason said that "anti-Israeli government feeling can spill over into anti-Jewish feeling" and that "the Jewish community feel anti-Israeli feeling is really anti-Jewish feeling".

After Friday prayers, thousands of Gaza residents streamed toward five protest tent camps that had been erected more than two months ago, each several hundred meters (yards) from the fence.

The other images she showed were of Messi standing up to an Israeli referee-soldier, of the Argentine team with the word "APARTHEID" behind them, of street protests in Argentina and of Gazan footballer Mohammed Khalil Obeid who was shot in his both knees by an Israeli sniper during the Great March of Return protests.

Palestinians are planning the largest turnout in history for Quds Day, with organizers claiming that a million people will join rallies against Israel in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. Palestinians also want the capital of a state there, and most countries say the city's status should be resolved in future peace talks.

Rajoub's gambit was another facet of the Palestinian Authority's escalating efforts to isolate and delegitimize Israel in bodies like the UN Human Rights Council and the International Criminal Court-politicizing organizations that could theoretically serve a noble objective if they weren't so consumed with anti-Israel animus.

Record Number Mail Ballots Could Delay San Diego County Results
Des Granges said e-poll books help process voters, while tabulators "help automate the counting process for the poll workers". It's also the highest turnout for Ontario since 1999, when 58.3 per cent of eligible voters turned out to cast their ballot.

The kites have become a potent symbol of a wave of Palestinian protests that broke out on March 30 against Israel's crippling decade-long blockade of Gaza.

The cancellation came hours after pro-Palestinian activists staged a demonstration in front of the sports complex in Barcelona where Argentina is preparing ahead of the World Cup. Rights groups have said Israel's open-fire rules are unlawful.

Israel has accused Hamas of trying to carry out attacks and damage the fence under the guise of the protests. Growing despair in Gaza over blockade-linked hardships, including daily power cuts and rising poverty, have driven turnout. Israel and Hamas have fought three cross-border wars since 2008.

From the megaphones of different mosques Palestinian factions urged the population to participate in the protest, which coincided with the last Friday of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting for Muslims; a majority of Palestinians consider themselves adherents of Islam.

Al-Quds day was observed throughout the country on Friday.

This year's event saw the usual burning of flags and chants of "Death to America" and "Death to Israel", as well as a huge Donald Trump figure being hanged from a crane.
