On board were the pilot, Captain Barbra Wangeci Kamau, and First Officer and co-pilot Jean Mureithi.

Gilbert Kibe said a multi-agency team was immediately dispatched for a search and rescue operation.

"The search has been halted due in the Aberdares because of bad weather and will resume on Thursday at 6 a.m".

Authorities on Wednesday focused the search efforts on the Aberdare mountain range in central Kenya where a mobile phone signal from the plane had been located.

Preliminary reports also indicated the plane had also carried the owner of a private primary school in Turkana county.

There was no clear indication if there are survivors.

The plane, operated by East African Safari Air Express, took off from the western town of Kitale in the late afternoon Tuesday.

A sold out Elland Road was treated to its first England worldwide since 2002 - and boy did the locals enjoy it. They've played twice before at Elland Road , drawing 3-3 with Sweden and losing 2-1 against Italy in 2002.

Residents of areas neighboring Aberdares have lost their patience with the police and forcefully stormed the Forest in a bid to locate the Fly Sax plan that went missing yesterday.

The plane left Kitale shortly after 4pm with eight passengers and two crew members on board and was expected in Nairobi about an hour later.

The two, who were flying at a height of 11,000 feet above sea level (approximately 3km high), were scheduled to use runway 24 at the JKIA to land.
